"The Comet" from CoasterDynamix is the first fully working model of a wooden roller coaster in H0 Scale (1:87). Modeled after the timeless and classic lines of a real wooden coaster, this kit was designed by actual roller coaster engineers to a level of detail that must be seen to appreciate. After climbing the lift hill, the three-car train traverses the realistic course via gravity, just like its full-sized counterpart. The pre-colored plastic structure was designed with ease of assembly in mind. Many parts snap together, however some gluing is involved (glue not included). The trains roll on precision brass wheels for consistent operation. The compact footprint of the Comet (12" x 28") makes it an unobtrusive yet attention-grabbing addition to any layout.
The model kit comes with a terrain base plate that creates the realistic impression of the coaster being built on a hill site. The base plate can be customized to look like green grass for example (as shown on the photos, materials not included - ask your local model shop for suitable products). The model can be enhanced even further by adding the optional chaser light sign (see accessory section to the right).
To build this model you will also need (not included): Super Glue, phillips screw driver, sand paper (fine and medium), tweazers, knife, scissors.
